Above Ground Pools
Above ground pools have become increasingly popular in recent years due to their affordability, convenience, and ease of installation. These pools offer many benefits over in-ground pools, including lower cost, easy maintenance, and greater flexibility in terms of placement and size.
One of the biggest advantages of above ground pools is their lower cost compared to in-ground pools. Above ground pools are typically much less expensive to purchase and install than their in-ground counterparts. This makes them a popular choice for homeowners who want a swimming pool but are working with a limited budget.
Another benefit of above ground pools is their easy maintenance. Because they are not built into the ground, they are easier to access for cleaning and maintenance. This means that owners can spend more time enjoying their pool and less time maintaining it. Additionally, above ground pools typically require less chemicals and water to maintain than in-ground pools, which can save owners money in the long run.
Above ground pools also offer greater flexibility in terms of placement and size. Because they are not built into the ground, they can be placed almost anywhere on a property, and their size can be adjusted to fit the available space. This makes them a great option for homeowners who have limited space or want to install a pool in a specific location on their property.
In terms of installation, above ground pools are much easier and faster to install than in-ground pools. They can often be installed in a matter of days, whereas in-ground pools can take weeks or even months to install. This means that homeowners can enjoy their pool much sooner than they would with an in-ground pool.
Overall, above ground pools are a great option for homeowners who want a swimming pool but are working with a limited budget or have limited space on their property. They offer many benefits over in-ground pools, including lower cost, easy maintenance, and greater flexibility in terms of placement and size.
Above Ground Pool Installation
Installing an above ground pool is typically a straightforward process that can be completed in a matter of days.
While the exact steps involved will depend on the specific type of pool being installed, there are some general guidelines that can be followed to ensure a successful installation. The first step in installing an above ground pool is to select a suitable location for the pool. Ideally, the location should be level, free from obstructions, and in an area that receives plenty of sunlight. It is also important to ensure that there is enough space around the pool for easy access and maintenance.Once the location has been chosen, the next step is to prepare the ground.
This typically involves removing any grass, rocks, or other debris from the area and leveling the ground as needed. It may also be necessary to add a layer of sand or other material to create a stable base for the pool. The pool itself is then assembled according to the manufacturer's instructions. This typically involves fitting the wall panels and supports together and securing them with bolts or other hardware. The pool liner is then installed, and the pool is filled with water.Once the pool is filled, the final step is to install any additional features, such as a pump and filter system, a ladder, or a pool deck.
These features can be purchased separately and installed at the same time as the pool, or they can be added later as needed. It is important to note that above ground pool installation should be done by a professional if you are not experienced or familiar with the process. Improper installation can lead to safety hazards and damage to the pool or surrounding property.
Therefore, it is highly recommended to seek professional help to ensure the safety and longevity of your above ground pool.

Typical Liner Replacement Process
After selecting your liner pattern and making a deposit, the liner will be ordered. This process can take a few weeks, and is based on current conditions with suppliers and is subject to change. Once the liner is ready, you will be added to the schedule for installation. Typically this is done within a week of the liner being ready.
On the first day of work, a commercial pump will rapidly drain your pool. The old liner is cut out and rolled into sections for easy removal. Sand bottoms are hand-troweled for a smooth finish. Hard bottom pools are cleaned and inspected for cracks, holes, or other damage. If there is damage, additional work for additional costs may be required to properly install the new liner.
Unfortunately we can’t anticipate these issues ahead of time and need to remove the old liner to determine if any additional work is needed. Another unforeseen issue is groundwater. Customers closer to the water might experience groundwater.
The good news is that we have the best installers in the Jacksonville area, so we are equipped to handle even the most challenging circumstances. When the old liner is removed, there can also be issues with the walls of the pool structure itself.
Walls can be re-foamed for an additional cost, but oftentimes we can leave it as it is. We don’t want to do any work other than what is needed to properly install the new liner.
After the empty pool is prepped, the new liner is installed with a large commercial vacuum running under the liner while water is filling the pool. This ensures a tight installation with no wrinkles.
Next, we install new gaskets for the skimmers, lights, returns, and main drains to ensure a proper seal. Once the liner is secured into the track around the pool, we add bead-lock in strategic locations to keep the liner in its track. We can bead lock the entire perimeter for an additional cost.
The pool will be partially filled and then the installers will come back to cut out the skimmers, returns, lights and other fittings. At this point the pool is ready to be filled the rest of the way, to the middle of the skimmers.
We typically like to have one of our technicians stop by when the pool is full to make sure there are no leaks at the filter site and to add any additional chemicals that might be needed.
For example, if the hose water has high iron levels, it's important to use a chemical to remove the metals before adding chlorine or the water will turn brown. Assuming everything is running smoothly, you can balance the chemicals like you normally would and enjoy your new liner.
